I believe music has the unique power to inspire, to heal and to change the world; after all, it is a universal language.

Since 1994, my company Cjazz http://www.cjazz.com has joyfully shared the musical talents of contemporary artists on the internet and live in concert.

This year I have been focusing my energy, passion and expertise to a cause I care deeply about, cancer research and treatment innovation.

2009 will mark the kick off of In Concert for Cancer; a concert produced by Cjazz featuring top music stars, to support one of the world's leading cancer organizations, The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. http://www.fhcrc.org

I am so proud to be supporting an organization that has made many of the world’s most important medical-research advances during the last three decades including: bone-marrow transplantation, targeted cell treatments, improved detection, new technology and prevention methods.

Their teams of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Their researchers, including three Nobel laureates, bring a relentless pursuit and passion for health, knowledge and hope to their work and the world.

Having recently joined The Fred Hutchinson's Holiday Gala Board of Directors, I am privileged to spend time with their special events team, a truly amazing group of talented and good hearted people. I cannot tell you how good it feels to collaborate with people who care as much as I do about making a difference.
